Le Puyの通信講座を始めました
今年から、フランス・ル・ピュイ（Le Puy）のレース通信講座を始めました。以前から関心のあった講座で、ようやく受講に踏み切ったものの、一人で進めるにはやはり難易度が高いと感じていました。
日本の教室で学びながら
それで信頼できる日本のボビンレース教室にお願いして、課題を持ち込み、直接ご指導いただきながら進めることにしました。
ようやく見えてきた第一歩
今月に入って、ようやく最初のレッスンの終わりが見えてきました。まだ糸の引き加減や手の動かし方など、細かい調整には試行錯誤が続いていますが、それでも少しずつ形になってきている気もします。
フランス式ならではのカリキュラム
この講座の特徴は、日本で一般的に習われている“トーションレース”はほとんど扱わず、フランスらしく“クリューニーレース”を中心としたカリキュラムという点です。おそらく、日本の多くの教室ではベルギー式の技法に基づいて指導されていることが多いのではないかと思いますが、このLe Puyの講座は完全にフランス式で進みます。
学びの安心感
細かな手順や考え方も異なる部分が多く、戸惑うこともありますが、以前この通信講座を修了された先生と一緒に学べる環境があるおかげで、安心して取り組むことができています。
レースに宿る地域の美意識
フランス式のレースに触れるたびに、地域ごとの美意識や歴史が織り込まれていることを感じ、改めてレースという手仕事の奥深さに魅了されています。
これからの制作へつなげて
この挑戦が、これからの制作にも何らかのかたちで活きてくるといいなと願いつつ、引き続き一歩ずつ進めていきたいと思います。
Starting the Le Puy Lace Correspondence Course
This year, I began taking a lace correspondence course from Le Puy, France. I had been interested in the program for some time, and finally decided to enroll. However, I quickly realized that it was quite difficult to handle on my own.
Learning with Support in Japan
So I decided to bring the assignments to a trusted bobbin lace class in Japan, where I could receive direct guidance and instruction.
Seeing Progress in the First Lesson
Now that we’ve entered this month, I’m finally starting to see the end of the first lesson. Although I’m still struggling to adjust the tension of the threads and coordinate hand movements, things are gradually starting to take shape.
A French-Focused Curriculum
One of the unique features of this course is that it hardly covers the commonly taught “torchon lace” in Japan. Instead, true to its French origins, it focuses mainly on “Cluny lace.” While many Japanese classes tend to follow Belgian-style techniques, the Le Puy course follows the French method entirely.
Feeling Supported in Learning
There are many differences in procedure and approach, which can be confusing at times. But I feel fortunate to be learning alongside a teacher who has completed this correspondence course before — it brings me peace of mind.
The Aesthetic Soul of Regional Lace
Each time I engage with French-style lace, I sense the regional aesthetics and history woven into every thread. It reminds me of the profound artistry and cultural richness within this handmade craft.
Looking Ahead to Future Creations
I hope this new challenge will somehow find its way into my future creations, and I will continue to take it step by step.
Début du cours de dentelle du Puy
Cette année, j’ai commencé un cours de dentelle par correspondance avec Le Puy, en France. C’était un programme qui m’intéressait depuis longtemps, et j’ai enfin décidé de m’y inscrire. Cependant, j’ai rapidement réalisé que c’était trop difficile à suivre seule.
Accompagnement dans un atelier au Japon
J’ai donc choisi d’apporter les devoirs dans un atelier de dentelle au fuseau de confiance au Japon, afin de recevoir des conseils et un accompagnement direct.
Les premiers progrès visibles
Depuis le début de ce mois, je commence enfin à entrevoir la fin de la première leçon. Je tâtonne encore pour ajuster la tension du fil et coordonner mes gestes, mais petit à petit, les choses prennent forme.
Un programme résolument français
Ce qui rend ce cours unique, c’est qu’il ne traite presque pas de la “dentelle torchon” couramment enseignée au Japon. Fidèle à ses origines françaises, le programme se concentre principalement sur la dentelle “Cluny”. Alors que la plupart des cours au Japon suivent des techniques belges, le cours du Puy adopte entièrement la méthode française.
Un apprentissage en toute confiance
Il existe de nombreuses différences dans les procédures et les approches, ce qui peut être déstabilisant. Mais j’ai la chance de pouvoir apprendre aux côtés d’une enseignante ayant déjà terminé ce cours, ce qui me rassure beaucoup.
Beauté régionale tissée dans la dentelle
À chaque contact avec la dentelle à la française, je ressens une esthétique régionale et une histoire tissée dans chaque fil. Cela me rappelle la profondeur et la richesse culturelle de cet artisanat traditionnel.
Vers de futures créations
J’espère que ce nouveau défi enrichira mes futures créations d’une manière ou d’une autre, et je continuerai à avancer, pas à pas.
